Rockville, Md.— TLC—The Treatment and Learning Centers, a local, non-profit organization that provides educational, therapeutic, and vocational services to children and adults with disabilities, welcomes Debra Piccirillo, new Director of Speech-Language Services. TLC’s Speech-Language Services provides evaluation and therapeutic services to individuals who are experiencing language-based disorders, speech-sound production disorders, voice disorders, fluency disorders, and/or social-communication problems, and feeding and swallowing/mealtime challenges.

Ms. Piccirillo, states, “My experience in private practice and hospital settings afforded extensive opportunity for collaboration with medical specialists, educational professionals and families. I am thrilled to continue the spirit of collaboration at TLC where multi-disciplined therapy is so highly valued.”
Ms. Piccirillo has over 23 years of experience working with pediatric, adolescent and adult populations and expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of speech, motor-speech (dyspraxia & dysarthria), language, learning and cognitive-linguistic disorders, as well as expertise in feeding and swallowing. Ms. Piccirillo holds a Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing Science; and a Master of Science, Speech-Language Pathology from Clarion University of Pennsylvania (Clarion, PA). She holds American Speech-Language-Hearing Association certification and has completed PROMPT workshops. Ms. Piccirillo is an active community volunteer and speaker, raising awareness of dealing with speech-language and feeding issues.
Ms. Piccirillo has an active interest in continuing her education with regard to speech-language topics, but also has great interest in wellness, studying and integrating holistic nutrition and practicing Pilates and yoga. Ms. Piccirillo resides in Great Falls, Virginia with her husband and three children. She enjoys travel, visiting the beach, cooking, gardening and time spent with family.
