This summer KTS was proud to introduce Camp Bongo, an experiential learning camp for students in grades 2 – 7 offered the last few weeks of summer. In the morning, students engaged in a variety of multi-sensory academic activities and worked on problem solving and executive functioning skills. Every afternoon, students explored the awesome resources of the Washington, DC area through field trips and special guest visitors. These afternoons offered the perfect opportunities to work on social skills in a supported setting. Field trips included visits to Giant Food, Isaac Walton Park, Meadowside Nature Park, Morven Park-Turkey Hill Farm, Glen Echo, Teddy Roosevelt Island, National Cathedral, Butler’s Orchard, The Amazing Art Studio, Great Falls Tavern Visitors Center.
