All of our speech-language pathologists hold Masters’ degrees, a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and licensure from the Maryland State Board of Examiners, Department of Mental Health and Hygiene. Areas of expertise include PROMPT training, Lindamood-Bell, Hanen certification, Social Thinking and Floortime™.
Christina has been working as a speech-language pathologist since 2004. She has extensive experience evaluating and treating pediatric-aged clients and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized plans of care. She is skilled in providing community, home and center-based consultation services and trainings. Ms. Morrissey has worked in a variety of settings, with a range of stakeholders including families, advocates, educators, and children to create and implement successful plans for clients.
Christina has expertise in Applied Behavior Analysis/Verbal Behavior and coordinated ABA-based home program for young child with autism. She has trainings in Picture Exchange Communication Systems (PECS), Social Thinking®, Bridging PROMPT Technique to Intervention, DIR®/Floortime™ Model, Kaufman Method for Childhood Apraxia, Pivotal Response Training, and is Hanen Certified in It Takes Two to Talk®, More Than Words® and TalkAbility™.
Ms. Morrissey holds a Bachelor of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology/Audiology and a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology with Magna Cum Laude honors from Loyola College. She is affiliated with American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, Maryland Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She was awarded the American Speech-Language Hearing Association Award for Continuing Education in 2009 and in 2015.
