KTS Lower and Middle Programs

The Lower-Middle School Program
Grades 1 – 8
Students often lose skills over extended school breaks.  This year’s theme, Travel Around the World, will be used to enhance instruction, field trips, art exploration and special activities through each of the six weeks of The Learning Enrichment Program.  Students in The Learning Enrichment Program are actively engaged in hands on, experiential theme based activities designed to reinforce skills in reading, writing and mathematics.  Small groups allow for differentiated instruction, to help students maintain critical academic skills through reading of narrative and information texts, the dramatization of characters, creative writing and math activities.  Using innovative and structured opportunities for social engagement, focus is placed on strengthening the students’ verbal and interactive skills with both peers and adults.

Several learning options are available to meet family needs, including half day and full day programs as well as extended morning and afternoon services, at an additional cost.  The Learning Enrichment Program offers, at an additional cost, Occupational Therapy (OT), Speech Language Therapy (SLP) and/or Social Work (SW) services.

2017 registration information to come.
