Kineta is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Maryland, specializing in working with children, adolescents, and families. She graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2019. Kineta employs various therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, and Client-Centered approaches. She has experience in both private practice and school-based settings, having worked in the Baltimore City Public School System and District of Columbia Public School System.

Kineta’s expertise lies in helping children and adolescents cope with academic challenges, trauma, ADHD, anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, and PTSD. She actively participates in Individualized Educational Plans (IEP) and 504 meetings to support students’ academic progress. Her trauma-informed approach includes techniques such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She has also provided trauma-informed therapy to specialized populations, including children with developmental disabilities.

Currently, Kineta is pursuing her doctoral degree in School Psychology at Howard University. Beyond her professional endeavors, she enjoys watching comedy movies and TV shows, listening to music, traveling, and exploring new cuisines. Kineta strives to create a safe and comfortable environment for her clients, fostering open communication and teaching valuable coping skills
