Alycia Chapman, Psy.D.


Dr. Alycia Chapman, PsyD., has been licensed in Maryland (License #: 05072) since March 2012. She received her doctoral degree in 2011 from Argosy University in Arlington, Virginia. Her coursework and clinical training focused both on assessments and therapies, with specific emphasis on children and families. Her externships included both assessments and therapy of children with learning disabilities, social emotional challenges, ADHD, trauma and autism spectrum disorder.

Dr. Chapman has worked as a consultant for TLC since 2011.  While working with TLC, Dr. Chapman has administered numerous psychological evaluations that include diagnosis of ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, learning disorders and emotional challenges.  She develops recommendations for children and adults determining the best accommodations for school, home and work.  She has also delivered therapeutic services to children with autism spectrum disorder, using the DIR/Floortime model.

Dr. Chapman’s additional professional work experience includes working with children and families, ages birth to three.  Dr. Chapman evaluated children for initial eligibility services and developed Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP) for eligible children.  She also delivered individualized developmental services for children and their families, that included psychological counseling for children and their families as it relates to developmental delays and disabilities.
