Josh Carpenter

Josh Carpenter has over 13 years of experience in the field of special education. He earned a B.A. in Psychology, and a M.Ed. in Special Education from Point Loma Nazarene University, as well as a certificated of complication for his studies of transitional services. In 2009, Mr. Carpenter joined the high school faculty of Excelsior Academy, a nonpublic school for students with learning disabilities. From there he gained a great deal of experience working in the public, nonpublic, and charter school arenas in California, Washington D.C., and Maryland.  

In 2015, Mr. Carpenter moved to Montgomery County, where he continued to grow his experience working as a special educator with MCPS. After 5 years in the county, he left to become the Director of Respite for a non-profit corporation that services adults with disabilities. Additionally, Mr. Carpenter has experience as a family consultant for parents with children on the Maryland Autism Waiver.
