Raise the Roof

For more than 20 years The Katherine Thomas School (KTS) has been providing education to students with language and learning disabilities, autism, intellectual disabilities and other health impairments.  KTS serves more than 150 students in a team model that includes highly-trained special education teachers, speech and occupational therapists, and counselors.  We work together to find and utilize our student’s strengths to teach, support, and reinforce learning. Over the years, small or no state tuition increases have caused a significant gap between tuition received and the actual cost of educating students. KTS’ student population needs the specialized support that KTS offers, and we need your help to provide a place for students to learn, thrive and develop.

The estimated cost of repairs of KTS is $600,000. Your generous donation will cover:

  • New Roof
  • Playground replacement
  • Tile flooring
  • Masonry repair for windows and doors
  • New parking lot surface
  • And more!

Over the recession, KTS has stretched limited resources to provide quality education and delayed capital improvements until now they have become critical for this aging building.

Your generosity will impact KTS Students by providing a place to Learn, Thrive, and Develop
