Why a Therapeutic Interaction Group? Through these groups, which utilize the DIR®/Floortime™ model for early intervention, children between the ages of 2½ – 6 years with significant communication, interaction, autism or sensory processing disorders learn to interact and communicate more effectively with others. Using a  multidisciplinary approach, the groups are led by a licensed and certified occupational therapist, speech-language pathologist, a psychologist or other mental health professional, and assistants.

Each child’s needs are addressed through a treatment plan based upon the child’s individual profile that utilizes the child’s own interests to enhance engagement and participation during individual, small, and whole group activities.  Additionally, parent groups and parent coaching are provided during the group sessions to help facilitate the child’s growth at home and in the community.
