- Autistic diagnostic testing, including testing for Asperger’s Disorder
- ADHD testing
- Testing for anxiety and depression or mood regulation disorders
- Medical conditions that can impact thinking, learning, and behavior (such as premature birth, pediatric stroke, mitochondrial disorders, neurofibromatosis, sickle cell, or exposure to toxins during pregnancy)
- Testing to assess adaptive and independence skills
- Children who were adopted after experiencing inadequate care or harmful conditions
Neuropsychological Evaluation
This evaluation is designed for general concerns related to attention, motivation, executive functioning, memory challenges, social-emotional functioning, etc. It includes assessment of cognitive abilities, executive functioning, memory skills, and social, emotional, and behavioral functioning. The process begins with a parent or intake meeting, followed by two testing appointments, each lasting approximately 2½-3 hours.
Neuropsychological + Educational Evaluation
This comprehensive evaluation is designed to assess potential learning challenges and how other concerns may impact learning and success in school and/or work. It includes the same assessments as the Neuropsychological Evaluation, including cognitive abilities, executive functioning, memory skills, and social, emotional, and behavioral functioning. Additionally, it evaluates academic achievement to provide a more complete picture of you or your child’s learning profile. The process begins with a parent or intake meeting, followed by three testing sessions, each lasting approximately 2½-3 hours.
Neuropsychological Evaluation for Younger Children (Ages 3 – Preschool)
For our younger clients, we assess cognitive abilities, executive functioning (including attention), learning and memory skills, and social, emotional, and behavioral functioning. As with the other evaluations, testing begins with a parent meeting, followed by 2–3 sessions of approximately 2½-3 hours each.
Autism Evaluation Options
If you have concerns about autism or other social communication difficulties, we offer an autism battery that can be added to any neuropsychological evaluation. We also offer standalone autism evaluations that would include the assessment of cognitive abilities, executive functioning, learning and memory skills, and social, emotional, and behavioral functioning. Autism evaluation begins at 18 months through adults.
Toddler Autism Evaluation
This interdisciplinary collaboration will allow for a more streamlined autism diagnostic assessment of younger children (18-36 months). With this earlier identification comes customized recommendations to support each child and improve access to early intervention therapy services. TLC’s interdisciplinary team of Psychologists & Speech-Language Pathologists collaboratively conduct evaluations using the ADOS-2, a gold-standard tool for observing behaviors related to autism. Includes occupational therapy screenings to assess sensory and motor needs.
Disability-Related Funding Evaluations
We also provide evaluations geared toward developmental disability funding sources if applicable. These evaluations include a caregiver interview and one to two days of testing.
