조기 개입은 발달 지연 및 / 또는 어려움의 영역이있는 유아 및 유아가 이용할 수있는 서비스 및 지원을 설명하는 데 사용되는 용어입니다. 조기 개입은 새로운 기술을 배우고 도전을 극복 할 수있는 아동의 능력에 중요한 영향을 미칠 수 있으며 학교와 삶의 성공을 증가시킬 수 있습니다. 적절하고시기 적절한 조치를 통해 지연과 어려움을 조기에 파악하면 사회 발달, 언어 능력, 훌륭하고 총체적인 운동 기술, 정서적 발달 및 독립성 증가에서 더 나은 삶의 결과를 낳는 것으로 나타났습니다. 조기 개입이 적절한지를 결정하는 첫 번째 단계는 지연이나 어려움의 영역이 있는지 평가하기 위해 아동의 발달을 평가하는 것입니다. 우려가 확인되면 광범위한 개입 가능성이 있습니다.

Early Intervention Services offers comprehensive and multidisciplinary Developmental Evaluations, Speech-Language Evaluations, Occupational Therapy Evaluations, Early Hearing Evaluations, as well as Counseling.

Toddler (18-36 months) Autism Evaluations
TLC offers a specialized autism diagnostic program to help families get answers faster. We understand that many parents face long wait times when seeking evaluations and support for their younger children. Our new program, led by TLC’s Testing, Tutoring, & Counseling Department, is designed to connect children to neurodiversity-affirming early intervention services sooner.
TLC’s interdisciplinary team of Psychologists & Speech-Language Pathologists collaboratively conduct evaluations using the ADOS-2, a gold-standard tool for observing behaviors related to autism. Combined with a child’s social history and developmental impact, this assessment helps determine if they meet DSM-5 diagnostic criteria.

Comprehensive autism assessments at TLC include occupational therapy screenings to assess sensory and motor needs. Plus, our Family Hearing Center provides specialized testing for children with hearing concerns.
치료 상호 작용 그룹
TLC’s Interaction Group is for young children ages 2 ½ – 5 and is based on the Developmental, Individual Difference, Relationship-Based (DIR) model, focused on developing and improving communication, social interaction and sensory motor skills. The DIR model provides a developmental framework for interdisciplinary assessment and intervention for autism and other developmental and mental health challenges. The model uses affect-based interactions and experiences tailored to individual needs to promote development. Our Therapeutic Interaction Groups (IG) are led by two of our Occupational Therapists who are trained and certified in the DIR/Floortime model. They build on your child’s interests to encourage engagement, play skills and interactions in group and individual activities. Parent education and coaching are provided to support parent-child interactions.
